It is manufactured by winding strip brush onto a shaft or core, which is made up of stainless steel, galvanised Iron, or zinc steel backing. It is also made by fusing a strip brush and creating into a one piece fused spiral wound cylinder brush. Fill materials include Wire, Synthetic and Natural fibre.

Metal Backed Strip Brushes can be wound at the desired pitch to suit any application, example – for Light work it may be preferable to spread the pitch between the strip to create a less dense fill and ultimately a more flexible brush, for Heavy work or where greater pressure is required the strips can be closely wound resulting in a more dense stiffer brush.Spiral wound coil brushes have unlimited uses. They can be used for scrubbing, deburring, cleaning, polishing, and the spreading of liquids and powders.

These brushes are made by stapling knots of filament into pre drilled cores in lengths. The most commonly used brush patterns are staggered rows, helix or chevron patterns with parallel & spiral rows also available. Bristles can be inserted straight into pre drilled cores or can be inserted on an angle of up to 30° in both left and right hand designs. Alternatively, fill materials can be made short for hard aggressive brushing or long for softer sweeping.

Inverted disks and coils are especially well suited for cleaning the outside surfaces of rods and shafts. Our custom inverted or inside disc brushes are manufactured by taking a straight metal channel brush and forming it into a circle shape using our custom design process. The fibre fillings are then turned towards the centre of the brush making this type of brush especially well-suited for cleaning the outside surfaces of rods and shafts. Inverted discs also make excellent sealing devices.
